Effective upon first publication of Version 1 on the public website.

1. The platform and these terms

Brazil Tech Map (the “Platform”, “we” or “us”) is a public directory of technology organizations in Brazil, with maps, company profiles, aggregated job opportunities and editorial information. These terms also apply to its city-specific websites, including saopaulotechmap.com and riotechmap.com.

Published information is selected through research, evidence verification and editorial review. Public browsing is free unless a specific paid service is expressly offered and separately agreed.

By accessing or using the Platform, including search, filters, company submissions, profile claims or the MCP endpoint, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Definitions

Public Data
Information made publicly available by the Platform about organizations, their metrics, sources and published opportunities, including curated publication snapshots.
Editorial Content
Internal research, inferences, evidence, editorial decisions, unpublished drafts and historical working records. These are not licensed or made available by public access.
Organization
A company or other legal entity whose verified website domain is used to authorize profile management.
Authorized User
An individual with a valid account and the permissions required for the action concerned.
MCP Service
The authenticated, read-only interface at /mcp, exposing a limited projection of public organization directory data.

3. Using public data

3.1 Permitted use

  • Anyone may browse and read publicly displayed information without an account.
  • You may quote individual facts in analysis, reporting or your own content, provided you clearly attribute Brazil Tech Map and link to the relevant public profile or website.
  • You may share individual links to organization profiles.

Suggested attribution: “Source: Brazil Tech Map” followed by the relevant profile URL or https://braziltechmap.lovable.app.

3.2 Uses requiring prior written permission

Except where mandatory law permits otherwise, you must obtain our written permission before:

  • Building, populating or enriching a third-party product, service, directory or database, whether free or paid, that replicates or competes with the Platform’s function.
  • Extracting data in bulk through scripts, automated browsing, headless browsers, extensions or bots, including systematic sequential collection of map entries, directory listings or individual profiles. Authorized, bounded MCP lookups remain subject to Section 4.
  • Using Platform data to train, fine-tune, evaluate or ground AI models or systems intended to replace consultation of the Platform. An individual, attributed lookup through the authorized MCP service is not a license to build a substitute dataset.
  • Reselling, redistributing or making Platform datasets available outside your organization, other than the individual citations and aggregate analysis permitted here.
  • Bypassing access controls, pagination or rate limits, including by rotating accounts, credentials, clients, devices or network origins.

3.3 Aggregate analysis

You may publish attributed aggregate analysis or statistics derived from Public Data if the output does not enable reconstruction of the underlying dataset or systematic identification of individual records. These permissions do not grant rights over third-party material beyond those we may lawfully grant.

4. MCP access

The MCP service requires OAuth sign-in. It provides limited, read-only organization lookups; it does not expose events, jobs, opportunities, private accounts, internal curation or unpublished drafts. It does not authorize profile edits or publication.

Access is subject to authentication, bounded results, rate limits, security logging and revocation. When a request is rate-limited, clients must respect the HTTP 429 response and any Retry-After instruction. Applicable technical limits may change to protect the service.

The intended use is a specific, attributed lookup through the available tools. No bulk export, full-directory synchronization or incremental synchronization entitlement is granted. Staying within a technical limit does not authorize mass extraction or override Section 3.

Do not share credentials, automate account rotation or evade security controls. We may immediately suspend or revoke access when necessary to address abuse, a security threat, disruption or a violation of these terms.

5. Accounts and company profiles

  • Accounts are personal. Keep sign-in credentials secure and do not share accounts across unrelated organizations.
  • Claiming a company profile requires a verified email address matching the company website’s domain. You must be authorized to represent that organization.
  • Domain verification grants only the permitted management actions. It does not transfer ownership of the Platform, its compilation or its editorial records.
  • Designated administrators may manage organizations under separately verified permissions.
  • Submitted changes are subject to authorization and validation. A saved change does not mean it is immediately visible publicly; publication depends on the applicable editorial and release process.
  • Submit only accurate information and material you are entitled to provide. Do not impersonate an organization or attempt to alter another organization’s profile without permission.

6. Opportunities and sponsorship

Job opportunities are informational listings, not offers or guarantees from the Platform. A listing does not establish a company’s headquarters, office address or verified presence in the listed city. Confirm availability, eligibility and conditions with the original publisher.

Sponsored placements are identified as sponsored. A sponsorship inquiry is not a booking, payment confirmation or promise of publication; any placement requires separate approval and agreement. Sponsorship does not establish the accuracy of an organization’s claims.

Self-service company submissions require review and do not automatically publish a company or grant a listing entitlement. Unavailable or disabled features are not promised by these terms.

7. Data accuracy and responsibility

Public Data is based on public sources and editorial research. Information may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Consultation dates, metric reference dates and publication dates have different meanings; one must not be treated as another.

City-reference coordinates and approximate locations do not establish a verified office or address. Only locations expressly identified as verified have that status. Missing information must not be inferred from a map pin, company type or job listing.

The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of all information. It is not investment, legal, hiring or other professional advice. Verify original sources before making decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on the data or third-party sites. This does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform’s original editorial content, selection, organization, presentation, design and code are protected to the extent recognized by applicable intellectual property law. Permission to consult public facts does not grant a license to copy the Platform or its protected compilation.

Third-party names, trademarks, logos and source materials belong to their respective owners and are used for editorial identification. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, partnership or ownership by Brazil Tech Map. These terms do not claim exclusive ownership of independently available public facts.

9. Security and enforcement

We monitor access patterns for security, stability and compliance. MCP attempts, including refused requests, are logged. Security records may include an account identifier, client information, the requested tool, outcome, timestamps, an IP-derived identifier and a client fingerprint derived from request characteristics.

These identifiers help detect abuse; they do not establish a person’s identity or uniquely identify a physical machine. Authentication secrets are not intended to be included in these audit records. This section is not a substitute for a full privacy notice or a waiver of applicable data-protection rights.

Depending on severity, we may notify the responsible party and request correction within a reasonable period, temporarily suspend access or terminate access and pursue remedies available under applicable law. Immediate protective action may be taken when security or service stability is at risk.

A good-faith violation corrected within a notified period will not trigger an additional contractual penalty solely for that violation. This does not prevent necessary protective measures or remedies required by law.

10. Changes to these terms

Changes that reduce user rights take effect 30 days after the revised version is published. Changes that only clarify these terms or expand user rights take effect on publication. Each revision will identify its version and effective timing.

Previous versions remain available at stable URLs. Version 1 is available at /terms/v1. Continued use after a revised version takes effect is subject to that version, without limiting any notice or consent required by law.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes are subject to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law. No exclusive contractual forum is designated. Mandatory jurisdiction rules and protections under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, where applicable, remain unaffected.
